Private Group Bookings Terms & Conditions

Group Bookings

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total booking value must be made to reserve the booking. At this time all principal details of the tour will have been decided; dates, accommodation, places to visit etc. and an itinerary will be agreed by both parties.

The remaining balance (80%) must be paid 6 weeks before departure. This can be paid off in instalments or earlier if more convenient for the group. Wild in Scotland will then provide confirmation of the tour. If the balance is not paid before the deadline, the booking may be cancelled.

Wild in Scotland will be responsible for booking all activities, accommodation, transport etc. during the tour. Exceptions may be made by written agreement with Wild in Scotland.

The contract of sale is only made when the booking has been accepted by Wild in Scotland, confirmed through communication to that effect and full payment received.

Group Cancellations

Major itinerary amendments, i.e. departure dates, for a group booking may be subject to an administrative fee of up to £100 per group booking, payable to Wild in Scotland. Amendments may also cause the tour/kitty cost to change.

Any cancellations must be made in writing to Wild in Scotland.

If the reason for cancelling your tour is covered under your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy. We strongly advise that all customers take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen eventualities.

  • The 20% deposit made at time of booking will not be refunded when a group cancels.
  • Cancellations made 29 to 41 days in advance will receive 75% refund of the balance.
  • Cancellations made 14 to 28 days in advance will receive 50% refund of the balance.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance will not receive a refund.

Tour Insurance

Travel insurance is not included (in the booking). It is strongly advised you seek the appropriate level of cover for your trip to cover cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage etc.

Wild in Scotland is covered by Public Liability Insurance and fully comprehensive vehicle insurance.

Wild in Scotland does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings or liability for personal injury/death whatsoever, excluding the full extent permitted by law.

Tour Travel

Wild in Scotland does not accept responsibility for inaccurate arrival/departure times made by 3rd parties.
Failure to comply with requests from Wild in Scotland representatives regarding health and safety and/or abusive behaviour negatively affecting the general enjoyment/wellbeing of other tour members may result in termination of an individual’s tour. In such circumstances there will be absolutely no refund plus any additional costs in repatriation will be incurred solely by you the customer.

We accept no responsibility for the behaviour of any tour participants or for the ramifications of their behaviour.

Wild in Scotland will endeavour to offer you the tours as planned. However in extreme circumstances it may be necessary to vary, alter and cancel any/entire itinerary stated and/or the size of vehicle. In the highly unlikely event of your tour being cancelled, Wild in Scotland will offer an alternative tour or a full refund.

Customer Responsibilities

Smoking is not permitted on Wild in Scotland vehicles.

Any damage to company property or third party property may be charged to the clients when on tour.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check that all departure dates on the final itinerary are correct.
